“She was just joking”, he kept defending himself. I was angry and upset and I knew there was more to that. How can a random girl just walk over to a guy sitting at a table and kiss him in from of his girlfriend? I was mad at her, I was mad at him and I was even more mad at me. How did I not see this coming?
I had had my suspicions. We had met on social media too, in the days of the popular hi5 channel, which was more like today’s Facebook, but with far less privacy restrictions. We had seen each other in a club, but didn’t exchange any details. He found me and started commenting on my photos, we started dating. I was so fool to believe that was real love. But then again, I was only 16 and he was 23. He was the bad guy that any girl dreams of.
Obviously the same way he had found me, he had found many other girls. And he would convince each of us that online cheating is not really cheating. One of these girls just happened to be at the same pub where we were hanging out and she just came over, kissed him and left.
It took me a while to find all the comments he had left her while we were dating and it became clear he was a player.
